Face it, you can't win. No matter what you do, it won't be good enough. You'll never make prefect. McGonagall won't stop criticising you. Slughorn doesn't even notice you're alive. Severus will never love you. You will always be a failure. Forget decent OWLs. You'll be lucky to graduate. Better get used to it now. No career, no friends, nothing. Papa will be ashamed. He's going to toss you out on the street. Then were will you go? Beg for Knuts in Hogsmeade? Is that what you want? Stop dawdling and do something! You do nothing but follow around some bloke you don't really know. You're wasting your life. Sixteen years old now, and what have you to show for it? Not a thing.

I have to do something! It can't go on like this.
